The first product in the metaverse that enables you to physically feel and interact with forcefields.

Emerge, a social virtual connection company, announced the release of the Emerge Home system, the Metaverse's first product to enable immersive 'bare-hands' tactile experiences.

The Emerge Wave-1 is a revolutionary tabletop ultrasound gadget that allows you to really feel what you see in virtual reality.

As more people are seeking connection and collaboration throughout the Metaverse, Emerge unveils its first consumer product, Emerge Home, which enables physical contact in social virtual reality experiences. The Emerge Wave-1 is a cutting-edge tabletop ultrasound device that lets you feel what you see in virtual reality.

What is the Emerge Wave-1 and how does it work?
People who believe games are meaningful methods to interact with others will like Emerge Home. Play has the capacity to bring people closer together, just as pulling out a board game after dinner or a video game at a party does. You may engage with novel experiences and familiar connections like never before thanks to the addition of touch.

About the size of a 13" laptop, the Emerge Wave-1 device fits on most tabletops (and looks pretty good on them, too).

Dimensions: 10.25 x 11.75 x 1.875in

Weight: 5.7lbs / 2.6kg

Material: Polycarbonate

Wireless: WiFi a/b/g/n/ac and BT5

AC input: 100 - 240V, 1.4A, 50-60HZ

DC output: 19.0V, 6.32A 120W

The idea is that this haptic feedback should correspond to virtual objects seen through the VR headset, shown in Meta Quest 2. (formerly Oculus). The Wave-1 system connects to the Emerge Home app, which will include a range of games and social apps developed exclusively for the system.

Besides the player's own hands, which are tracked by the Meta Quest 2's hand tracking sensors, none of the apps require any controllers. So far, the games implicate users blasting asteroids with energy beams, spraying water on farm animals, or bouncing balls around a huge pinball-style arena, all of which are accompanied by force feedback on the hands.

The Emerge Home system is made up of three parts: the Emerge Wave-1 device, the Emerge Home social virtual experience, and the Emerge Home mobile app.

Emerge is currently seeking funding for the Wave-1 and Home system on Kickstarter, where the project has raised and over $50,000 of its $200,000 goal with 35 days left. Pledges begin at $450, with shipping predicted in either April or September, depending on the tier selected.

In anticipation of the launch of Emerge Home, Emerge raised an additional $13 million from strategic investors to finalize product development and support its early adopter community, bringing the total raised to $31 million.

The arrival of the final Emerge Wave-1 devices is expected by April 2022. As of 30-03-2022, a total CA$ 129,751 pledged of CA$ 249,838 goal by a total of 190+ backers
