React to messages in WhatsApp

WhatsApp announced that emoji reactions are now accessible in the current edition. Currently it has only 6 emojie reactions.

On Thursday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the release of reactions via an Instagram story. The WhatsApp tracker discovered three such features. WhatsApp is developing status updates, group polls, and instant responses. These in-app features are in the works and will appear in future versions.

As per FAQ from WhatsApp:

  • You can only add one reaction per message.
  • Reactions to disappearing messages will disappear when the message disappears.
  • It’s not possible to hide reactions or reaction counts.
  • Recipients might see your reaction before you remove it or if removing it wasn’t successful. You won’t be notified if removing a reaction wasn’t successful.

WhatsApp, one of the most prominent messaging and chatting applications, has rolled out the ability to react to a message with emoji. WhatsApp users can now also send files within the app up to 2GB in size at a time. It can be known that the file size has been increased from the previous limit of 100MB. Along with the reactions, increase in the size of files sharing limit, the application is also rolling out the ability to add up to 512 people to a group.
